Moreover, they will manage and supervise the data management process as well as the impact of the self-optimization recommendations on the pilot sites.

Established in 2001 & located in Dublin, Ireland, mSEMICON is a developer & supplier of customized electronic circuit boards for product manufacturers. In the last two years, mSemicon has also started to develop its own products, not just products for third parties. Many of these are in the remote monitoring area, where Internet of Things technology (IoT) is very relevant. The products are for the most part still in development but the first will be introduced in 2020. The Auto-DAN project represents an opportunity to bring one such product to near commercial level early relatively soon.

Through the Auto-DAN project, mSEMICON will leverage their experience in product development to design and engineer an IoT Smart Sensor that will be used to measure and record energy consumption of the pilot sites.

CiciESCo is the Energy Service Company of CiviBank (Banca Pololare di Cividale) and promotes urban regeneration, smart city projects and energy efficiency in the public and private sectors. CiviESCo has also collected €30million from the European Investment Bank in order to develop local interventions as certified ESCo in EPC modalities. CiviESCO’s main activities are as follows:

  • Financial Advisory to Smart Cities. Support them through identification of financial resources, definition of Business Plans and Business Models, structuring of innovative financial schemes;
  • Advice, Energy Diagnosis. CAR recognition procedures (high efficiency cogeneration and SEU (efficient user systems). Procedures for the management of white certificates (TEE);
  • Energy Efficiency. Adoption of the best available technologies in order to limit energy consumption and enhance production processes;
  • Capital Intensive. CiviESCo promotes interventions on public assets through the development of Public Private Partnerships in project financing. CiviESCo promotes energy efficiency in SMEs.

CiviESCo’s primary contribution to the project will be through the development of the business models for the project. In addition, they will identify drivers & opportunities for the Auto-DAN solution to create a value chain to generate new business, both in domestic premises & businesses & within 3rd party organizations. Finally, CiviESCo will coordinate the participation of the Palazzo Terragni pilot site.
